Dan Nero is a Strategic Advisor / CFO of Pelorus Capital Group LLC.
With more than three decades of experience across commercial banking, alternative investments, and financial operations, Dan brings deep expertise in credit risk, portfolio construction, and institutional finance. In his advisory role, Dan supports the firm’s executive team in evaluating portfolio performance, enhancing underwriting and risk management frameworks, strengthening financial reporting and controls, and advancing strategic initiatives across the Pelorus related platform. He works closely with senior leadership to assess complex lending scenarios, refine capital structures, and support the continued institutionalization of the firm.
Key Experience: Dan has held senior leadership roles at major financial institutions and investment firms, including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of New York, Hudson Valley Bank, HedgeWorks, Scion Capital, Colchis Capital, and Yosemite Capital. Throughout his career, he has built and led specialized teams focused on credit, operations, compliance and governance, and investment management, with a consistent track record of driving disciplined growth, managing risk through market cycles, and sourcing differentiated investment opportunities.
